Privacy Policy for Bensy

Bensy ("we", "our", or "us") is a fuel and vehicle cost tracking application operated by BaskomLabs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data the app handles.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data (Signed-in users)

• Google Account profile: name, email address, and profile picture, obtained via Google Sign-In when you authenticate.
• User ID: a unique identifier issued by Firebase Authentication to associate your data with your account.

Vehicle & Usage Data

• Vehicle records: make, model, year, fuel type, and odometer readings you enter.
• Fuel logs: date, volume, price, odometer, fuel type, and station name you record.
• Other costs: optional records for service, parking, tolls, or related expenses.

Permission-Based Data

• Camera: used only when you tap the camera icon to scan an odometer or receipt. Captured images are processed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit (offline OCR) to extract numbers, then discarded from temporary cache. No image content is uploaded to our servers.
• Photo library: if you attach a receipt photo to a fuel log, only the photo you explicitly select is read by the app.

Guest Mode

If you continue as a Guest, all data stays on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or have visibility into Guest data. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data will permanently delete it.

2. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — secure Google Sign-In.
• Supabase — cloud database used to sync your vehicle and fuel records across your devices when signed in.
• Google ML Kit Text Recognition — runs locally on your device. No image or text is transmitted to Google or to us.

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core functionality: storing, syncing, and analyzing your fuel and vehicle records.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To display aggregate statistics (e.g. average consumption, total spend) on your own device.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

How to Delete Your Account & Data:
> Open App > Profile > Account > Delete Account.
> This permanently removes your account and all associated vehicle and fuel records from our servers.

You may also request deletion by emailing us at the address below. We will process verified requests within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

Bensy is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above will reflect the most recent revision.

Terms of Service for Bensy

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bensy mobile application ("App"), operated by BaskomLabs ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Bensy, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Bensy is a personal fuel and vehicle cost tracking application. It allows you to:

• Record and manage vehicle information (make, model, year, fuel type, odometer readings).
• Log fuel purchases (date, volume, price, odometer, fuel type, station name).
• Track other vehicle-related expenses (service, parking, tolls).
• Use on-device camera OCR to scan odometer readings and receipts.
• View aggregate statistics about fuel consumption and spending.

3. User Accounts

You may use Bensy in Guest Mode (data stored locally only) or sign in with a Google Account (data synced via Supabase). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Data & Content

All vehicle records, fuel logs, and cost entries you create ("User Content") remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your data. By using the sync feature, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your User Content solely to provide the service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure.
• Transmit malicious code or exploit vulnerabilities in the App.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Firebase Authentication, Supabase, and Google ML Kit. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaskomLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the App (Profile > Account > Delete Account). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
